Hi Everyone: Thank you for dropping by. Anyone with a favorite fragrance, please let us know. Maybe youve been using it in soaps and bodycare products, including products for yourself--years pass and despite the proliferation of new fragrances, you hang on to that old standby that everyone loves.
My favorite romantic scent is Lebermuth's version of Victoria Secrets Love Spell. It has a wonderful citrus undertone that is wrapped up in a light absolutely to die for floral fantasy. Second to that is Buttermilk.
What are yours? Care to share with us?

My favorite of all time is Patchouli with Sw. orange. Something about those two is just fantastic. I just ordered a bunch of FOs from a place called scentit and I am loving the cucumber melon sooo much though and its so different from anything I have ever used.
this is my first foray into using FOs instead of EO and its fun to pick out funky scents. I am ramping up for the local farmer's market and wanted more mainstream scents.
This is a great forum! I am glad I found it.
:-)

I love sandalwood and seem to change as the seasons change. Summer I really like lime basil.

I think my favorite has got to be cinnamon-sandalwood. It's a rich, deep, spicy scent that just grabs me and doesn't let go.

I like foods like vanilla, cinnamon and apple. I have found I'm allergic to the smells of a lot of florals.
So glad to find this forum! I've made my own soap twice and loved it. I also have bought handmade soaps very frequently and prefer them to commercial brands. They make really nice gifts as people really appreciate them.
I tried making my first batch of soap with olive oil and I must have stirred for hours before it set up. I found out later you can only use a little olive oil or it won't harden very well.

Sandalwood is also one of my favorite. I just like scents that have a tenacious background. That hours after you use it the scent is still there. I tried Yuzu and was surprised at how deep and strong a fagrance it is especially for being a citrus scent.
I was in love with lime basil. I think I need to rediscover that fragrance. Tonys fragrance oil has one of the best versions of this.

Lilac is a great scent too. However, like Green1 I tend to have some kind of reaction to florals. Sandalwood and patchouli are to die for...!!! So many scents, so lttle time...

I love sandalwood and lavender. cinnamon and sage I love things that are earthy and spicy with a touch of herbal! although I do love Roses and lilacs I don't want to smell like a flower bush all day long because it reminds me of little old ladies and they tend to get sweeter and ranted smelling the longer i wear them so... I also love peach and strawberries and vanilla scented but they tend to make me hungry... although my husband loves vanilla and banana stuff........ I have had a friend that made a batch of soap and she had no idea what she was doing so she mix a little bit of everything and it was the best stuff I have ever smelled in my life! It was light clean smelling with a bit of spice and a hint of rose and very earthy. she has no idea what she put in it and she has not been able to make it the same since!!! I would have got a patient and marketed the smell it was that great!

Wow... all of your suggestions seem so good - the lavender with orange sounds great as well as all the earthy scent ideas. I love different scents at different times. However, I am unwavering in my love of earthy scents. Come spring though, I love my citruses... I'm so unfaithful when it comes to what fragrances I love. Anyone having that problem? Well, is it a problem...maybe not...its eclectic, really.

Lavender is actually my favorite scent. I own a business based solely around this wonderful herb. I can't get enough of it!

You should have put "musky" on the list of scents! The two scents that I LOVE and always wear are "Red Door" and "White Diamonds." I get so many compliments when I wear these scents. I also like some of the vanilla musk scents, too.

I change with the seasons. I've been holding on to my fall scent of Bath & Body Works Fresh Ginger Lime. It's perfect for the warmer fall and spring here in the south.
In winter I switch to Cinnamon-Almond that I had custom made for me.
I like the sound of the cinnamon-sandlewood.

It was so hard to choose just one. I picked earthy because that is what I usually like, but I'm going to do my first experiment with soapmaking with melt and pour rose scented soaps. I've always had a thing for this antique rose scent my grandmother used to wear. I wish I know exactly what perfume it was.

What great scents! Choosing a favorite is really hard! I make all natural soaps and lotions and will not use FO's unless they are phthlate-free. Usually our items are scented with essential oils, but they get very pricey to use for combination scents to get the fun scents of FO. Also getting ready for Farmer's Markets this spring & summer ... new scents coming! Swing over and check our all natural everything... My Sister 2Paula Bella Online Painting Editor

I had a customer in New York who would buy gobs of rose from me. It was rose and patchouli mixed together sometimes with clove eo and blackpepper eo. Makes a nice vintage rose scent that has the tenacity of a pair of claws!!!

Sometimes I like floral and other times Oriental type scents. It just depends on my mood. Right now I'm into floral.
