Hey Lydia, your hubby is a genious!! Someone was telling me they used the stand to a christmas tree and put a tree in there for a play stand. I think it was for like a cockatiel, but I thought what a great idea! Hannah loves her perch that hangs in my bedroom. I did take some pictures of it but they are on the front of a roll. I am sure it will get taken up soon! I had no idea that finches could be tame either!!

Can't sleep tonight...so I'm "surfing" the net till I get sleepy, LOL!

Jean...thanks! Unfortunately my Pip passed away several years ago...but he was such a cute little guy! I loved the little "beeping" sounds he made, too! Just keep trying to give yours a little pet every now and then and maybe you can eventually hold them! Good luck!

Connie...I had a hanging perch once for my Sammy, but had to take it down because he would climb all the way to the top and chew on the ceiling...once he even pulled out a small chunk!

Hey Lydia,

My little Miss P bird will climb to the top of this hanging perch and try to eat the ceiling! My hubby is going to get a piece of plexiglass big enough to keep little beaks away from the ceiling and he will hang it at the top of the toy. I will post pictures when I get my roll finished! I have also seen the ceiling protectors that are a long piece of pvc pipe and you attach it to the ceiling and then the toy to the hook at the bottom of the pvc pipe.

The Javas now have names. They are Brother Arthur and Sister Bertha. Everyone who sees them mentions that they look as though they are wearing clerical garb, so hubby and I thought those would be fitting names.

Jean...haha! What a great sense of humor you have! Yes, it does look like clerical garb...now if you could just get them to carry little rosary beads...LOL, just kiddin'! :rolling:

LOL, Lydia! Actually, it occurred to me later that since we are hoping they will eventually breed, perhaps we should have saved the humor and used it elsewhere!
