LOL...I just love it. I am making some of the little flower pendants in the newest issue of Bead & Button. They worked up really fast.

Hi This is my first message to this website just joined recently and find so many places to visit. When I saw the BEAD site I raced to get in and see what was happening here. I hope to meet others whose love for beads are great whether you make them (as I do) or use them in jewelry making. My love for beads began with taking old costume jewelry apart and mixing with other "flea market finds" or my own creations. I'd like to hear what the rest of you do in the "bead world". This spring "Leopard prints" are HOT so I'm going to be seeing "spots" in the bead work very soon. Happy Spring 2007 to all in the near future. Jazzy Geri

I am pretty new to beading and am working on peyote stitch. I just finished a small tapestry and I am about to start on a needlecase for my mom. Connie

Hi Connie, I enjoyed reading your reply and want to know about the size beads you use for your project are they very tiny that you need magnifiers to work with them? I have not tried a bead project using very small beads...do you use a loom or is it all done on thread with needles?
Thanks again for your reply....Jazzy Geri in Florida

Hey Jazzy, I use delicas and they are small, but I have one of those OTT lights and that helps to be able to see the beads. During the day I don't use the light but at night it really helps. I tried to use regular seed beads and they don't work well for doing what I am doing. The delicas are pretty much uniform in shape and size and fit together perfectly.

I have a small loom and have used it some. It was very easy to use once I learned how to warp it. I have made bracelets with it, but it isn't large enough to do much of anything else with.

Thank you "parakeet" for your reply you are my first to hear from so I'm thrilled to know someone out there read a post..lol. Now I know this site works! There are so many subjects I'm interested in that I could sit here all night and never get to the end. I also have an OTT light they are wonderful. Sure makes beadwork much easier on the eyes. Your beading sounds great. Hope we can chat again. Have a happy Valentine's day! Jazzy Geri

I have so many different things I would love to make...I guess I need to pick out a few and get started! I finally went through my stash of magazines and cut out what I wanted and pitched the rest (I am on an organizing/cleaning bender) and I arranged the projects all by type. I am the worlds worst for saving things because I will do it later! We went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and went through all their clearance items and I purchased some really cheap beads!
