Thanks so much for your reply about what Indians think of Americans. Many in America don't care for the governement either so hopefully people in other countries won't dislike us as individuals based on what the government does.

America is a peace loving nation. But America also reserves the right to defend itself. America was attacked on 9/11. All the events since have transpired because of what happened on that day. By taking the fight to the desert, George Bush has kept America safe. Moslem terrorists were wrapped around unsuspecting America like an anaconda snake. George Bush pulled them off. God bless him for that!

America ias not a peace-loving nation, if you go by its history.. virtually every single conflict it has engaged in, it started....

America was attacked on 9/11. All the events since have transpired because of what happened on that day. This is not true. Every rationale George Bush and his cronies have ever used to justify the invasion and occupation of Iraq has proved utterly baseless, so much so that they are constantly changing the rationale as each one is proven false. Furthermore, if you really want to insist that the 660,000 innocents killed in Iraq since the start of that war, not to mention the 100,000 innocent people per week fleeing the country, are all a consequence of what happened that day, then you are admitting that the US has accumulated a horrible amount of bad karma for its actions. Those deaths and those destroyed lives are our responsibilities, not those of the 20 SAUDI ARABIANS who carried out the 9/11 attack. What kind of "Christian" "peace-loving" takes that level of revenge, and takes it on the wrong nation's innocents? DJC in Norwich, UK

It is power with the US that makes its leadership do all these wrong things. Attack on Iraq was not possible otherwise.

You are wrong about everything. You should go back to school. You need to study history from the beginning. You need to get the facts straight. Then maybe you can form believable opinions.

How many wars has america fought and how many has it won without forign help?
1. War for Independence--French, Dutch, and Spanish allies.
2. War of 1812--no allies, but no clear victory either.
3. Mexican War--no allies; significant USA victory leading to massive land transfer. (I'm sure that was all perfectly legal and above board - NOT.)
4. Civil War--all American.
5. Spanish-American War--USA joins a pre-existing rebellion against Spanish rule in Cuba and in the Phillipines.
6. World War I--USA joins war relatively late; many Allied nations.
7. World War II--USA joins war in 1941; numerous Allies.
8. Korean War--USA allied with South Korea. No victory for either side.
9. Viet Nam War--USA allied with South Vietnam. Other allies were South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and a few more. South Korea provided the second largest group of non-Vietnamese soldiers. War ends with defeat of South Viet Nam--no USA victory.
I count 1 out of the big 8 foreign wars: the Mexican war. If we count the Civil War, which was not a foreign war, 2. Not to mention the carnage wreaked against the Native American indians, which has resulted in them being shunted into tiny, tourist-attracting reservations.
Oh Jim, you must be so proud.
