Kerry will backtrack on anything he says, no matter what it is. He is the flip-flopper. And examples have been pointed out in various threads you have started where the same could be said of GWB.

If we are hated all over the world how come so many people want to live here? Saying we are hated is a dumb statement as far as I am concerned. Most sane people hate war and that is probably why they seem to hate us. Our troops hate war too just like the rest of us but they are doing their jobs. A lot of them are old timers who have been in the service a long time. They are doing their job and I support them but I still hate the war.

You're a big country. it's really easy to get lost in the system. You have a wonderful educational record, and people are coming there for top training in many different fields - which they later plan to use against you.
The financial benefits far outweigh those in their own homeland.
I know this - it's happened in the UK, too....

I am not George Bush. But I recognize that George Bush and Tony Bair stand for civilization and postive forces while fighting the dark vision of Islamic fanatics.

If we are hated all over the world how come so many people want to live here? I hate to disillusion Jim and Mammmasita, but that's not so true anymore. This is even true of our higher education. Europe education is more desired than American, now. The amount of foreign students in our colleges has been falling. The people who want to come to the US are the ones for whom it is the closest of the 1st world countries, other Americans (using the broad sense of the word that includes the two continents).
