I use tea tree oil and salt to gargle with. It's good for cuts as well.

One feng shui principle recommends a combination of tea tree oil and ylang ylang placed around a room (on a light bulb, or heater, or rubbed on things) as a attractor of prosperity!

Is tea tree not harmful if you swallow it by any mistake?

Tea tree oil disinfectant - Use 15 drops to quart of water in a spray bottle. Use on countertops or for general cleaning.

Tea tree oil is used almost exclusively externally. Internally, all essential oils are potentially toxic. Use only as directed (product labels). Toxicity has developed with internal use of tea tree oil when accidentally ingested. It should be kept away from pets and children.

Some sensitive individuals experience an allergic skin reaction when applying tea tree oil to the skin. Test the product on a small area of the skin for sensitivity prior to use.

People who are allergic to myrtle (Myrtaceae), such as eucalyptus, guava, clove, or allspice, may be more likely to have allergic rashes to tea tree oil.

You can, because the concentration should not be too high...However, take note of any sensitivity or reaction... the previous post is a good and sound one....

When I did my aromatherpay course, we were taught that no oil should be taken internally. Let me check my facts again.

Tea tree oil is safe to use by the drop or two and only when extremely diluted. But should never be ingested.

Gargle. To combat sore throat, or for an effective mouthwash, put one drop of Tea Tree essential oil into a glass of water, then swish and gargle. It doesn't taste very good <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />Ă¯Â¿Â½ but it's very effective! Though You Do Not Want To Swallow This.

As with many essential oils, Tea Tree is safe to use as long as it is not abused. Use common sense when using essential oils. When following a recipe that calls for Tea Tree oil, use the exact amount called for by the recipe Ă¯Â¿Â½ do not exceed the recommended amount. If an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately; if symptoms persist, consult your physician.

Household ants and other pests dislike tea tree oil; so a few drops put at the point of entry will deter them.

Remove scuffmarks from a vinyl/linoleum floor by rubbing with a damp cloth to which pure oil has been added.

After washing down walls and removing grime and mildew, wipe over again with a tea tree oil/water solution to prevent mildew re-growth.

Tea tree oil disinfectant - Use 15 drops to quart of water in a spray bottle. Use on countertops or for general cleaning.

Sprinkle in bottom of pail after liner is removed 1-teaspoon tea tree oil-1-cup baking soda. Periodically rinse pail with vinegar and water and let dry in the sun.

Indeed, tea tree is poisonous when taking it oraly. Never ingest it or you will be cleaned so well, all your organs will be gone...
It's good for longs and genital candida in aromatherapy. Since tea tree exists mostly out of terpenen-4-ol/1,8-cineol it has very big anti-fungal and anti-bacteria functions. But the para-cymene can cause allergic reactions. When the oil turns deep yellow and starts to smell resinous, don't use it any more.

Guess what? I give massages and reiki. More info here!
