I think the 'pet fish' - the ones who interact with us, and know us - hate change and take it personally. I know my wonderful oscar fish, Xena, mopes terribly after any sort of change - she doesn't even like the gravel vac!

I hope Sweetie and Flar perk up. maybe give them a new toy? Sometimes that helps - something different and weird to swim in and out of, or rest on. Don't forget the salt.

Jilly,

If you remember, I got Sweetie because she was plain brown with black stripes. She was there at Walmart, and I just had to rescue her.

Maybe I just have a depressed fish?

She was happiest when she was spawning with Pinky.

The Prozac idea cracks me up. I'm seriously hoping once we move the tanks downstairs that they'll get more company and interaction. :music:

Arrgh. I moved two cory cats to Galadriel's Planet Frog habitat. She immediately ate the eye of one them. today he's dead, boo. but the other one is fine. just FYI.

I put the cory in with my White Boy betta, the one that has two corys in with him - the third one looked happy for the company. It's ony a two gallon, now with four fish...so I will have to keep an eye on the nitrites. I think I will add some live plants to help with water quality.

How's the tank doing? I wish I'd read the thread on chemistry before I left the filter off in Sweetie's tank. eek
