But the Ark was not built by God, but by Man.
Do you have any idea how many species of animals, birds, and reptiles are on this planet, not to mention those that are now extinct?
He'd have needed something much larger than the Queen Mary, and each one would have required a different kind of 'cage' and different food.
I could just imagine the poor man trying to load two elephants, along with tigers, lions, and all the other big cats, along with all the different species in Africa, Australia, and other countries.
How did he get to Australia to load up the Kangaroos, Wallabies, and the many varieties within these species, Crocodiles, Wombats, Possums, Tasmanian Tigers, Echidnas, Platapus, Flying Fox, Dingoes, Emus, Goannas, Lizards (many kinds) Snakes, (all the many kinds)Bilbys, all the hundreds of different birds, and what was the time BC that all this alledgedly happened?
And this is just Australia. What about all the other species of animals in other parts of the world? And let's not forget the less desirable creatures like rats, mice, white ants and borers, flies, cockroaches, mosquitos, ticks, leeches, and bugs of all kinds! I could go on with an unending list!!!!
Lets have some intelligence here and be real. This is a fairy story.
Patience.

You are making the assumption that these animals all started out in Australia and various other places.
You berate us for not having common sense or intelligence just because we choose to believe as we do - but the fact is that you do not know anymore than we do - you just believe differently based upon the facts and proofs that you like better.
Part of Christianity (the largest part) is faith. I have no need to have the Ark theories proven to me, but neither do I deserve to be called unintelligent because I choose to believe based upon my faith rather than questioning every other thing that comes out of the Bible.
If we get so caught up in arguing about these things that don't actually pertain to matters of the soul and eternal life, then Satan wins because he has distracted us from the most important truths of the Bible - which are Jesus, and His love and salvation.

Of course it is a fairy story, a nice one, but still a fairy story! I find it hard to understand why in every day life Bible literalists would not believe in fairy stories, but seem to believe the incredible and ludicrous when it comes to the Bible!

You dont know a lot about Australian geological history, do you? Scientific fact is scientific fact. Does your evidence of the flood predate 30,000 years? Our animals do. And you won't find Kangaroos and Koalas anywhere else.

I didn't start this discussion on the Ark'.

For those who are interested, you can see proof here that Noah would have had to travel to Australia to put our native animals on the ark. "The plant and animal life of Australia is biologically diverse and distinctive. Many of the native plant and animal species are endemic, meaning they do not naturally occur elsewhere. They developed only on the Australian continent because it was isolated from the wider world for more than 50 million years." You can read the whole article here: http://encarta.msn.com/text_761568792__1/Australia.htmlPatience.

If you read the section on animals, further down in the article, you'll see how many hundreds of different species exist and existed. Add to these the animals native to other lands, and you'll clearly see how impossible it would have been to include two of each on the ark.
Patience. Asking for logic!

Patience you are forgetting that at one time all the continents were joined as one large one. It is throughout time that Austraila has moved away from the Middle East thanks to teutonic plate movement.
We don't have a date for the flood. It could have been during the time of the dinosaurs for all we know. It was realtively not too long after Adam and Eve left Eden.
You are looking at the world as it stands today and not as looked then.

I have my issues with details in the Bible as well, however I also understand that my knowledge is limited and I do not presume to know more than God.
In reading the Bible I have found a God who like any parent loves his children and hurts when he must use dicipline. I have a rebellious nature, just ask my mother, I realize this and I read the Bible with that understanding. So when I read something that isn't fair and I can't see how God could understand, I then pray and look at it as a parent and not a rebellious teenager. Teenagers think they know it all, mom & dad know nothing. We argue every point and think that we don't need them, at least until we in trouble and then we go running back to them, asking for forgivness and help. We step in line for a period of time until we forget that they helped us and then we look to ourselves again and rebel. The cycle continues until we become adults and parents ourselves.
When we become parents we understand that there were reasons we didn't understand as children for the rules that our parents gave us. As parents we understand what it means to love more than one child equally. As parents we now realize there was a bigger picture and a bigger plan that our parents had because we have one for our children. As children we could not fully understand the dangers out in the world, or how the rules would guide us to be better adults.
We are God's children, his teenagers that do not understand the dangers that are waiting out there for us. The rules we are asked to follow seem stupid and out of date. Our parents don't get what it's like to be a teenager today and we can take care of ourselves because we know more. God knows the whole picture, he knows the dangers, he knows what we need to do to be better people, and he knows how to keep trouble away from our door. It saddens him when we go after trouble, when we turn away from him and spit in his face. He waits for us to return to him, like a parent waiting for their runaway teenager to hit rock bottom and call home asking to be saved.
