God-Loves-You, I would like to challenge you on some of the earlier points concernaing the nature of God which you agreed were correct. In particular, these:
9)All-loving 10)All-just 11)All-merciful
If one is to believe the Old Testament, and believe that it accurately describes the nature of God, then allow me to ask you:
Is this an ALL LOVING GOD who kills all the first born of the Egyptians because they did not do what he wanted? This would certainly have included many babies.
Is this also the 'all loving God' who put Job through hell to test his faith and loyalty to him?
Is it 'all loving' to destroy those who did not believe in him or whom he considered to be 'good' as in some of the OT stories of mass destruction?
In the story of the Great World Flood, everyone on the planet was destroyed except Noah and a few others who were considered worth saving.
What about all the innocent babies and children? What about the helpless and innocent animals that weren't fortunate enough to be the 'two of each species' that went on the Ark?
Are these examples the actions of a God who is 1) ALL LOVING 2) ALL JUST and 3) ALL MERCIFUL?
Not in my book he's not! In fact, he would be no better than Hitler! Both committed genocide.
Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence. John Adams

No problem. If you check around the root site you might (not) be surprised at what other arguments are there.... However, I'm not sure now that his name is Phil.
