Is that request to exhibit no prejudice toward or against a particular faith or any at all?

I am so sorry for what you have been through (Patience). I can't even express I am feeling right now after reading what you wrote. I haven't been on this post since I wrote something last time. And after reading this I cried. I am not going to say anything because I don't know why God might have let that happen to you and not stop it from happening but all I can say is I am so sorry for what you have gone through. I am sure that the Priest will pay for his actions and 'so will one of his flock'. The bible says: (18:6-7) Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes! "
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Thank you, 'God-Loves-You'.

Dear Patience
I read your story a while back on the Christian forum and I really wanted to respond, but just didn't feel comfortable posting in there. I should've just PM'd you, but I'm glad you've stopped by a forum where I can respond. You are such an inspirational woman and so filled with grace and dignity. I wish you continuing joy and happiness. <img src="/images/graemlins/queen.gif" alt="" />

Hi Cher, I think everyone has a right to pick in what they believe or not believe in. In my opinion, nobody has the right to ask you to change your beliefs. If they do, maybe they have concern for you. Nobody can change you, only you can. You want to be an athiests, then that is your decision. Speaking for myself, I would not ask you to change what you want to be. I do not feel it is my right to do so.

Thanks Elle, (and so nice to see another Aussie here!)
I'm so glad you responded. It is a pleasure to meet you, and I am very warmed and encouraged by your kind words. They have really lifted my spirits!
Again, 'thank you'! Patience.

The can be pretty eye-opening and the people do post alot of comments about Christianity and religion in general that make alot of sense to me and make me think. Moonshadows

I dont think anyone can make anyone here change. This is a forum. We are here to discuss.
I am here to put my view accross and you may be here to give yours. If you want to change after hearing about mine or someone elses thats upto you.
No one is putting guns to peoples heads. Just friendly debate! ;-)

No, you cannot make anyone change, but you can bring up points or ask questions of people that can affect them so much and make them really question (or ask questions) of what they believe that it can bring about change.
I've been reading some about the Pagan roots of Christianity lately and it has really made me think alot about what I used to totally and unquestioningly believe.
Once you wake up it can be hard to go back to sleep.
