i hate when pg women whine about how their husbands aren't putting them on a pedastal because they're carrying babies. a girl i know is doing that, and it's just irking me. she even said, "after all we went through to get pg, he should put me on a pedastal." literally said it. yeah, they tried for 2 years (we tried for 10 years, so i'm finding it hard to be empathetic here), but still. why should he do that? when my grandmother was pregnant, she still did the chores. she still worked in the fields, milked the cows, fed the chickens, cooked the meals, cleaned the home, ran a sunday school class, tutored kids.

sorry, it was just really hard for me to stomach that. and i had to let it out to people who won't call me a horrible person for being aggravated (at least i hope you won't).

okay, rant's over. back to life.

Maybe she's insecure. Society always makes out pregnancy to be wonderful (miracle of life, etc), but I bet she's finding that it sucks! It looks like it would suck. The pregnancy/childbirth thing grosses me out. If I want to be grossed out, I'll watch Alien, thanks.

There's a girl in my office out on maternity leave. When she was pregnant, she was complaining how they wouldn't be able to go on vacation. Well, gee, she didn't have to get pregnant (apparently, it was an accident).

With all the birth control on the market today and the increased effectiveness, I wonder about these accidents. I dont' get it. I mean, if you follow the instructions, it should work. I guess it's either really clueless people or planned accidents.

Women have been having babies for thousands of years. I think some women nowadays think they're doing something extra special that no one else has ever done. I can't believe she'd want her husband to treat her differently. Does she expect him to wait on her?? Give me a break.

Oh geez, one of my favorite subjects on the whole pregnancy issue. I am sick to death of women demanding attention and acknowledgment from everyone just because they manage to get knocked up with the worlds next parasite. Big f***king deal. Who the h ell cares? And you know those stupid "expectant mother parking only" signs? I make it a point to park in them. The first time I ever saw one of those signs I could not BELIEVE my eyes. That's why pregnant women these days are so d amn fat and loaded with gestational diabetes along with other 'fat pregnant woman' ailments, and so are their little crotch nuggets. I just did another class for elementary students for our local Future Achievers County organization, and there were several little fatties in there. All 9,10 and 11 year old boys. Fat and lazy...well, maybe I made a postive difference in some of their lives. I hope I did anyway, I certainly tried. Maybe they will now ask their moms to park far away from the Wal-Mart store so they can get a little doggone excercise for Christ's sake.
Are ya pregnant? Well that's just dandy, now excuse me while I live my life.

oh, that cracks me up! i love the expectant mother spaces too. since we have been trying to conceive for so long, i've been expecting to be pregnant for almost 10 years now. so i should be allowed to park in them. right? i was expecting to be a mother, so why not? lol. i know it will never happen, but at least i will park in the spot. how dare they discriminate against me because i'm infertile! okay, that's a bit much, but i don't care.

i'm so glad this place is here. i've completely given up hope on kids, and i'm trying to get past it. y'all help a lot.

crotch nuggets? i'm laughing out loud!

[color:"orange"] Sounds like a bunch of entitlement minded pregnant women. Holly and the rest of the childfree bunch, I hear ya there! ((((Hugs)))) Pregnant women don't have it worse, it must be all in their minds!!!!! Screw them. The're loosers! [/color]

If motherhood doesn't interest you, don't do it. It didn't interest me, so I didn't do it. Anyway, I would have made a terrible parent. The first time my child didn't do what I wanted, I'd kill him."

I don't understand these silly women either. Wasn't it their choice to become pregnant? Why should anybody else be amazed by it? The woman holles referred to in her original post sounds p****d off because her husband isn't making a fuss of her now she's pregnant. Seems to me that if she went through so much to get that way, she'd just be happy to have achieved her goal. I guess her motives weren't as pure as she thinks! Also sounds like she was looking to her colleagues to provide some of that much-needed attention she feels she's not getting from hubby.
So many people use pregnancy as a way to get attention. They're often the people who drive us crazy with their wedding and honeymoon plans too. It's like they want EVERYONE they meet to be interested in their lives. Hello? We're too busy living our own lives to be bothered!

Well I can imagine the husband - they have been trying for a baby for 2 years which was probably great fun, and now she's turned into a prima donna and won't let him near here. Poor guy probably doesn't know whats hit him!
Keep yer chin up Holles.
