Yeah when you see thos Yellow Book ads on tv that say, "Go with the Yellow Book, not the other book."
Trust me when I say, DEFINITELY GO WITH THE OTHER BOOK!

What has worked best for me was utilizing my SEO skills for my own sites and not just my clients (i run an SEO and marketing company in addition to my jewelry businesses), identifying and analyzing my competition, deciding how I wanted people to find me on the internet (looking at my website from a customer's viewpoint on how they would shop for what i've got), limited internet advertising, offering services in addition to products, and social networking. Exchanging links has helped a bit but nothing like the other steps i've outlined above.

I just read a study that shows that consumers still reference the yellow page phone book 4 times more than the internet when making buying decisions.

I am into Web development services and Internet Marketing. For our websites, I have been using online classified ads, linking, article submission and social networking.
