LOL Merwyn, I really needed that chuckle! Thanks! (Considering that I'm literally miserable- allergies driving me insane- for all intents and purposes..- when we went to the State Fair Monday, and yesterday, we parked by some rag weed- and sat off my allergies...Post nasal drip, and the very distinct possibility that my sinuses THINK they want to implode on me! *sighs* The OTC stuff my doctor wants me to take for it isn't worth a tinker's hooey, evidently!)

LOL anyway, as for adding to the yarn addiction- I added one skein of RH Super Saver in warm brown- for a WIP I forgot I had going- A Mile A Minute Afghan..( done in RH Fiesta Jewel, Windsor Blue, Warm brown and Medium Sage...in the Annie's Famous Mile a Minute Granny pattern.) LOL...So much for trying to cut back!

Hee hee..I happen to agree with the "NEED" and "WANT aspect where yarn is concerned, and I go to Wal- Mart with good intentions of NOT buying any yarn, and it seems like almost every trip some ends up coming home with me!

hi nita, me too, sometimes i have to stop myself from going to walmart and just send the kids when i need something.LOL DD is always more than happy to shop for me, and she understands this crafter need thing as she is a very talented(brag, brag) young artist. and she buys artist supplies from them all the time too!!!LOL

but then christmas is coming and when anyone asks me what i want i just tell them a GIFT CERTIFICATE, to anywhere that sells yarn!!!!ROFL hehehe, my poor sister in Virgina actually bought me one to a fabric store(joanns) and said to buy some material i like. LOL i bought yarn!!!!!!! i have a whole room that is dedicated to my crafts. it isn't very big, but is full of supplies, as when my DH retires(as he keeps threating to do) (sighhhh) i won't be able to buy any extra stuff and then it will come in sooooooooooooooooooooooooo handy!!! so i keep telling myself anyways LOL hope your having a good day merwyn  LOL

It is so good to know I am not the only one that has a yarn obsession. We went out of town and we stopped at a store with a hugh variety of sugar and cream cotton yarn. In my town, walmart only carries about 6 colors. I litterally jumped up and down in the yarn isle at this store. My husband looked at me, rolled his eyes and said he would leave me alone with my yarn.

LOL well, I was fairly good! I was at Wal-Mart both yesterday and today...Dropped in at the Pharmacy, as it was RIGHT on the way home from the dentist. (Had TWO abscessed teeth that had to be pulled...)Anyway, while I waited for my scripts to be filled, I went to the crafts and fabric department...while I was there, I picked up a complete set of the Crystalites crochet hooks, a skein of Red Heart Baby Sport Pompadour in baby blue, and 3 skeins of Bernat Baby Softee in pink..( I had GOOD reason to pick up the yarn- I have a new neice,Kaida, that is due at the beginning of the month...well, in two or three weeks, actually. Lisa's having the baby shower for Kaida, THIS coming Saturday...- I needed more of the blue than what I had on hand to have enough to finish Kaida's Peek a Boo Ripple ghan that is part of the shower gift...The pink yarn is being saved back to make Kaida a layette for Christmas..LOL..I STILL don't know WHAT I'm going to make for my nephew, Kaida's brother, Alex!)

Welcome to my world...Won't you come on in!!!!!! hehehehehehe. We are going to move to another state soon and so we have been sort of marking things around here that can go, and I tell ya I married one smart man, he has not mentioned once "are you going to downsize your stash" or "do you really need all that", ok to tell the truth he really isn't that smart but I finally had him trained. He told some friends once that he asked me in a yarn shoppe "don't you have enough yarn" and then he saw my head turn all the way around like Linda Blairs so he does not ask that anymore, hehehehehe.

That is too true (and too funny!). I can't find anything at garage sales or thrift stores anymore since these knit/crochet fads have popped up. (I live in a college town.)Maybe once these newbies lose interest, the stash will be MINE!!!!
