Okay. How do you deal with the stress that comes from not being able to do anything for yourself and being stuck at home?
I broke my leg a couple of weeks ago. Spent a week+ in hospital. This is day 3 at home for me, the first I spent during the day at home without family/friends around, and I'm going bonkers. I can't get around on my own right now. I'll trade this stupid splint thing in for a hip to toe fiberglass cast next week sometime--after the swelling goes down some more. But until then, I'm stuck hobbling between bed and bath.
I have my laptop to stay connected to people--somewhat.
I have a bag of yarn and am bound and determined to learn to crochet something.
I have books/magazines.
But I don't have PEOPLE around during the day--well, okay, the home health aide... but she doesn't talk much.
