Well... I would say that if you cannot hit him, that means you need to get back to that monster arena and get your accuracy up to 255 as well.

I have no personal experience with these Dark Aeons, but they seem to be close to Nemisis in HP. This would warrant having your agility also at 255.

Please try this strategy... I would like to know if it works. (Even at your current stats, you should be able to tell if it would be effective with higher Acc and Agi.)

Strategy:
Cast Hastega at the begining of the battle. (Duh)
Use nothing but Quick Hit. (It should hit for 99999)
As soon as you select Quick Hit with Yuna, and it shows her next turn after Dark Bahamut, have her summon an Aeon.
Hit him with the Aeon, which he will promptly kill. (If he for some reason doesn't, keep attacking until he does.)
When your party comes back you should have a complete new set of turns.
Start using Quick Hit, Lather Rinse and Repeat.

Unless the Dark Aeons have some sort of counter that Nemisis does not, this should work for you and he should not even get a chance to lay a hand on you.

I would really like to know if this works, since I cannot test it myself.

the worst thing i hate about dark bahamut is that he uses impulse when he was hit 4 times, he gives around 40k damage for each of my party members, their defence around 150's, got anything that stop him useing his impulse??

Ok, I assume you are saying that this is a counter attack, which means you are going to have to avoid it or use auto life. I am not a fan of auto life, because you will lose your haste status.

Try to use your Aeons to protect you, but you will not be able to avoid impulse, because you don't have enough of them to take out his 4,000,000 life. You need to land 40 hits of 99,999, + 40 dmg to take him out. According to some info I found you are going to need protection from stone, since impulse can inflict this. Also using auto-protect will half the damage from impulse. Get your defense to 255, and see how much he hits for. I think you should be able to survive the attack with this and auto-protect.

When his overdrive fills, he will do mega flare, so this would be a very good time for a sacrificial Aeon.

auto-haste might be a good idea too, but it might take a long time to farm stoneproof, auto-protect, and auto-haste for everyone. Also, I saw a suggestion for auto-phoenix.

I feel like a broken record here, but I wish I had these enemies to fight, so I could test strategies for myself. But, alas, Square screwed us Americans with no Dark Aeons, so my fully maxed party has no challenges to take on.

(Side note... Does anyone know if the international version of FFX would work on an North American PS3. I may just have to get it if it does.)

ty for the tips, yeah evry ps2 games will be able to be played on ps3, i hope u can also (taste) the challenge of dark aeons soon^^ it takes around 38-45 hours to complete the game if u know how to do it, unlike my 1st time, up to jecht at 70+ hours, i spent like 20+ hours on that ixion temple of djose, not using a walkthrough when i 1st played.

Well, I definitely know what I am doing if you hadn't noticed. However, when I did a quick search online the results indicated that the PS3 is indeed still region locked for PS2 games. (Only PS3 games are region free.) If you have any sources that confirm FFX International would work on my PS3 I would be ecstatic, but I won't get my hopes up.

If I skipped the cut-scenes, I think I could get to the end of the game in 25 hrs. If I can actually get the International version running, I will find out how quick I can be.

Accuracy and Agility will be your best friends. In my personal investigation of the Dark Aeons online, I have seen a general agreement that Dark Bahamut is the hardest of the Dark Aeons. I would recommend getting your stats as high as possible. Training in the arena is not very hard, and given your current stats, you should be able to move pretty quickly.

The most important stats are going to be Agility, Accuracy, and Strength. Defense might help, but he may out right kill you in one hit anyway.

Juggernaut will drop your Strength, the Hornet has the Accuracy, and Fenrir will drop the Agility. I would suggest getting your main three to the same node on the grid, and slaughtering these three until those stats are 200+. (If it was me, I would max them.)

If you are going to be relying on Auto Life, I recommend taking the time to get Auto-Haste armors. Re-casting Haste every time someone falls simply wastes too many turns.

His Impulse inflicts Stone, so if it doesnt kill you, you will want Stoneproof armor as well.

If you have not already, you could work on finishing the monster arena, and defeating all of the enemies there. If you can finish the toughest monsters in the arena, I think you will be in better shape for Dark Bahamut.

One more random battle strategy for this post It's a long shot, but may be possible:
Try using one of you strongest elemental Aeons to take the Impulse hit. If he counters every 4th hit you will be able to summon an Aeon to trigger this. Find your best elemental Aeon (Ifrit, Ixion, or Shiva). My guess is that Ifrit will be the most resilient to taking hits. Teach him protect and Firaga. If he is capable of taking the hit from impulse, healing himself, and dismissing, you might be able to absorb it that way. This would definitely require training enough for his Defense to reach 255, but might work. I wouldn't want to bet on this working, but it might be worth a shot.

If your Aeons are too weak, you could try bringing them in to take the fall anyway. with 4,000,000 HP, you would need, as I mentioned before, 41 hits to kill him if you can guarantee 99,999. You have 8 Aeons to throw at him for every 4th hit. this means you can get in 4*8 + 3 = 35 hits (3,499,965dmg) without taking a single Impulse, even if all of the Aeons are immediately killed. You only need to come up with 500,035 more, which you may be able to do with Anima's Overdrive, and The Magus Sisters. For this to work, you are still going to need to connect, so first things first, you need to kill the Hornet, and get more Accuracy Spheres.

I have probably thrown more than enough thoughts at you for one post, but thoughts just kept popping up.

Wow thanks for the LONG tip, all my aeons are 255 strength and def, the magus sisters has 255 magics and yojimbo 255 evasion(naturally) ok if dark bahamut is the hardest... then dark anima is easier? i know he doesnt use impulse but his health 8,000,000 .... double dark bahamuts, only oblivion can kill my party.. but i need to know, look my anima's oblivion on dark bahamut my anima has 255 strength, but only deals a total of around 200,000 to dark bahamut, and more to other weaker darks, i thought all dark aeons are 255 def and attak, so how come weaker?

if my anima does oblivion to normal monsters, he can do up to 3 mil damage or around that, and how do i kill dark yojimbo when he uses wakizashi (sometimes) that kill my party and zanmato? I dun seem to be able to (Bribe) my yojimbo to use zanmato on dark aeons, ok i tried it on his overdrive and grand summoned him, i paid 12 million gil (all i hav) AND HE GAVE ME A FREAKING WAKIZASHI dealing only 20,000+ damage... omg how come hes so weak, even my other aeons can 99,999 per hit.. can givew me more tips? pls?^^
