hi i also have tried many different kinds of hooks and still like the ones i have been using for over 40 years. i tried the lucite ones. yuck,,, hated them and all tried rosewood ones. didn't like them either, guess i am weird as i like my plain old susan bates hooks. i crochet different than anyone i know, some have told me it is the european way????? but what i do is hold me hook straight out from me instead of wrapping my fingers around the other one. works good for me and allows me to crochet even faster and i already crochet fast!!!!but i am like you eva, so enjoy what ever works for each of you. lots of hooks and ways to crochet. me i would not in any way spend that much money on a crochet hook!!!!LOL. we have bamboo in our yard and my hubby has been experimenting to see if he can make me some hooks from that to see if i like it!!!LOL well it keeps him busy anywaysLOL have a great and safe weekend everyone. merwyn :rolling:
