I wear makeup because I have melasma...there are makeups now that contain silicone(you know shower caulk) that fills in lines and wrinkles...supposedly; and since I plan to go out with all my body parts being in the same age group I am guessing that plastic anything is nOT in my future well, that and abject cowardice...oh yeah and poverty!
If you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at the people he gave it to.

i agree that makeup hides age look at how good oprha looks with make up i have no clue what shades to use or how to put it on with out looking weird i wish i knew because i can use the help;O)

I do NOT use makeup with silicone..I just know it is out there somewhere to those who may desire it...
Melasma is a skin color and texture issue not one that spackling could cover...I wear sunscreen every day and if I missed one time I would be back to looking like a dalmation from one exposure even through a window...it is still there along my jawline even with makeup but at least I do not have to wear the equivalent of zinc oxide with color in it anymore..

Even if one uses best make up on the face, how to hide the signs of aging on the body? I think that we should accept that old age is to be welcomed and no amount of effort will work in hiding it. It is better to enjoy.

My melasma is as light as it will ever be... even if I took whatever drug Michael Jackson takes to stop his skin from producing color whenever I quit I would get it back eventually. I suppose that a laser might work to remove it but it would still come back and it is hardly noticable now with makeup and constant vigilance...I never gave it a thought until a little kid stopped and pointed at me and screeched;"MOMMY, WHAT IS ON THAT LADY'S FACE?" Out of the mouths of babes it is...

I have one query. Melasma does not return. But you say that your melasma will eventually return. Why so?
