A fact to consider is that you're not showing your age. You're showing the result of prolonged chemical warfare on your skin. After so many years, the result of the battle shows up. However incredible it may seem, if you begin to feed your skin, rather than smother it with chemical cocktails, it will show signs of rejuvenation. Ingredients with plants and herbs. Formulations not created in a kitchen but in an advanced laboratory. Proven track record for over 25 years. Our products are featured on the cover of a recent issue of OXYGEN magazine - article: "It's Rewind Time." My mom is 84 and her skin glows now. My daughter and I are always complimented. I believe I have to talk with you offline to give more information, since I represent these herbal and botanical products. Only 2% of the companies in the world do not use petroleum-based chemicals. Ours is in that group. lynniece@gmail.com You make natural cosmetics?

Make-up can hide age, to a certain degree. Look at theatrical make-up: a 20-year-old woman can be made to resemble an 80-year-old woman!
However, I don't think that most of us wear it to hide our ages. I'm 28 and am happy with my age. However, I wear make-up simply to bring out my best features. I'm not trying to "hide" anything. I simply want to look my best. We wear jewelry and different clothing and hairstyles for fashion. Do you think it's wrong to use make-up simply as a fashion accessory? [color:"blue"] [/color] I couldn't agree more. I am 35 y/o and I wear makeup almost everday weither I am leaving the house or not. I don't do it to try to look younger, I wear it to just add a splash of color and because I want to look my best. I also style my hair everyday. It just makes me feel better

I'm 46 years old, and I wear makeup to look less tired. Makeup covers dark circles under the eyes, and can draw attention away from fine lines and wrinkles. I feel that it also helps me look good for my age, so I guess in a way that's making me look younger!
One thing I've always noticed about men who say women don't need to wear makeup: when I don't wear it around this type of man, I get asked, "are you feeling OK, you look tired?"

I believe makeup should be used to enhance your looks all of these products claim to do this and that and I don't believe it. No matter what you do whether it is plastic surgery or botox your body still knows how old it is. Some people age differently than others it is in their genes. Then some have a lot of sun damage and look far older than they are. Makeup can also make you feel better when done right but make other people stare if it is done wrong. When you are young you don't imagine what you will look like when older.

You have to be careful with this make up malarkey - put on too much and you could revert to a foetus.

I've always wondered why women lie about their age and say they are younger than they really are...
Wouldn't it make more sense to say you are ten years older than you really are and then people go, "Wow, you look fantastic for 60!!!" <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

You're so right about not imagining what you'll look like when older. I can still remember one day in my twenties, checking my face in the rear view mirror of my car as I waited at a traffic light. My skin was smooth and tight. It had always been smooth and tight. The thought popped into my head that it always would be this way.
I knew this wasn't true, but I just couldn't imaging myself aging and getting wrinkles. I couldn't picture it! I thought I was immortal! Even now, I can't imagine what I'll look like in twenty years, but at least I know I'm going to look older and more wrinkled, lol!!

Hmmm, I always wondered what became of Tammy Faye Baker. She wore her makeup mask-like, and even wore it to bed. Maybe she's back in the womb? ;-)
