I want my wife to cut her hair short. I think short hair on women is really sexy.

That said, did the haircut work out for you? How was the barbershop experience-would or did you do it again? If you have pictures that would be cool.

She has shoulder length blonde hair and it looks much better off her face. She usually wears it in a pony tail or up but I'm getting sick of her look and want her to change. She's 38 and is a stay at home mom. I really like women that look cutting edge-funky, spiky short with big earrings.

I'm hoping you'll give me some ammo to convince her.

Ike, how does your wife feel about really short hair?

I think it's interesting that I have many clients who like short hair but whose husbands want their long. And then I have clients who like their hair long but their husbands love short hair.

Is that the "opposites attract" syndrom?

Lynne,

I hadn't thought about the "opposites" theory but you may be onto something...She's had it short before but not super short. She got tons of compliments with it short but I know she feels more comfortable in long. Her mom still has longish hair (especially for a 70 yr old) and I think her dad really likes long hair, so I think that factors into it. Even at 38 she still likes to please mom and dad.

We've been married 15 years, so its nice when she changes things up. She's always had the same color as well...

I noticed your location is Indiana. Me too. Indianapolis. Where are you? Maybe you could cut it for her?

I'm in northern Indiana. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Actually, I'm cutting down on my working hours. I'm sure you will find an excellent hairdresser in Indy. I do suggest a hairdresser rather than a barber. Even a really short haircut needs a good shape to look right on a woman.

At this point, I'm still trying to convince her to cut it. She has a great face though. Thanks for the advice. We used to live in Merrillville.
