No problem.

I learned the very basic chain stitch when I was nine and years later am giving it another go!

A few years back I bought some knitting needles and yarn and tried to teach myself, but didn't get very far. Maybe after I am able to do some good stuff with crochet I'll try again. I'll have to look at what Eva's got going on in the BellaKnit site.

Keep at the crochet! There's plenty of help 'round these parts.

Take care!

I was just amazed that knitters are having problems learning crochet. I've been crocheting since i was about 9 years old. I've tried knitting a couple of times, and even made a scarf (using ONLY the knit stitch...lol). But looking at knitting patterns looks like greek to me. I've never really been able to grasp it, no pun intended=) my hands refuse to accept the challenge of holding two needles instead of just one hook. I guess to me, crocheting is as second nature as breathing. knitting, on the other hand, is like rocket science. I love knitted items, and envy you guys who can do it. Especially you ambedextrious (sp?) folks who can do both! to me, you guys are 'yarn-godesses'! to me, knitting is much harder than crochet. I wish i could do it.
happy hooking!

Hi Butterfly....its funny...to me crochet is greek. I can knit but havent mastered crochet beyond the chain stitch & single crochet. Only used single crochet for edging a knitted sweater. I have the whole set of crochet hooks & am trying to teach myself. I make baby sweaters as gifts and have some really nice crochet patterns I would love to do. Hoping this site will do the trick for me.
