The word paranormal comes from the words �para� meaning beyond, and normal. Paranormal is anything that seems to defy the known laws of science.

This could be ESP, clairvoyance, ghosts, UFO's, vampires, Bigfoot, psychokinesis, and anything else that cannot be explained scientifically.

Put that way it could mean anything to do with life, well, maybe not breathing <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

The paranormal fascinates me. I have a ghost, but the longer we live her the quieter he gets for longer periods of time. However, he has a strange obsession with pumpkin pie... long story... LOL. We call him Gargage George.

I know many people who think that paranormal is ghosts only... it encompasses so much more though.... definately one of my favorite subjects.

You are so right DeannaFolklore! I over heard a few people argue about what is paranormal and what is not, which is why I brought this up here in the first place.
