Eva and everyone, I also wanted to mention that I have read that cotton was the fiber used for Jessica's shawl.

Thanks Valerie, I was thinking of making another one but using the red heart plush because they have a very nice tan color that would pretty much look almost the same as the originial and it would give me a good excuse to purchase more yarn

I was just wondering, I found a picture of the original shawl and the "flowers" are much bigger. To make it look like that, what would I do? would I just make the double treble crochets longer????

Yes, you would just yo more but make sure to also add a ch for every yo over so that it doesn't end up being lopsided.

How much yarn do you think that I would need to make the shawl. I'm trying to price cotton yarn, and I need to know how much I'm gonna need to buy

Do you know where I can find 100% cotton yarn for a reasonable price????

thanks for you're help.

Hi
I am just learning how to crochet, and wondered how much wool you would need to make the shawl. Thanks.

I was wondering what size kneedle you suggested but saw a post where K size would do but I was also wondering what is the best type of yarn to use. I have started the shawl with Red Heart yarn, 100% acrylic, it is the type I use when making afghans, and a size H needle, but it does seem to be right. Doesn't have that flowing or open look? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. [/LIST]

Use the size K or larger hook.
