In an effort to keep our Creative juices rolling I am going to start posting a layout of the week! I will be scouring the online galleries to find inspiring pages that might spark your creativity!

If you see any awesome layouts...share them with me!!

I love the way this scrapper used the gemstones on the corners of her layout...and the paint swipes across the bottom. A simple but neato layout! Adding this one to my book of sketches!

Ran across this layout and thought it would be a great idea to get individual shots of the kids and teachers for a layout like this! So much better than just the group photo!

I love how this designer kept things so timeless with the black and white. The stamps along the pictures is a classy touch as well! Beautiful!

This designer, our very own Mid-Ohio Valley Scrapper Melissa Dailey,
used 5 pictures on this page without making it look cluttered! Super
nice layout design that I will be adding to my sketchbook!

After seeing all these beautiful layouts I have a question. Am I wrong to mat all my photos on card stock before putting them on the scrapbook page? When I first started the "Pet Project" it seemed like the photos were getting swallowed up in the design on the paper if I didn't mat them.

P.S. Loved the kitty cat - but then I would! <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

It isn't wrong to mat your photos. If the background distracts your eye from the picture than a mat is a great way to showcase the picture. Mats aren't a must though as you can see by looking at a lot of these. There are lots of ways to showcase and draw the eye to the photos!

I know alot of scrappers who mat all of their photos. I would say I am pretty versatile. I mat some but not all.

Love the big flower and how it goes across both pages!
