I am 16 years old. i weigh about 230 lbs. it really doesnt look like it though. i looks like i weigh about 190. i try to exercise, diet, excersise, diet.. but i cant lose a pound!! lol, i just get used to my weight. i even joke about it. like when im at skool i would be like, "you want to keep me in from lunch because im fat, u think i can skip a meal huh?" but i just be playing. i mean, i wouldnt mind being a little thinner. maybe i am just big boned is why i weigh alot, but i hate when people say "oh you're not fat, your big boned." blaaah. i wonder what i can do to lose weight easier.. what did some of u do?

At 16 you really should be consulting your Dr. about weight loss, because some of the ways of doing it can be harmful to a girl that is still growing (and you may be mostly done at 16, but not completely).
You never mentioned how tall you are either - that makes a big difference. 190 at 5'4 is not the same as 190 at 5'10". And if that picture is of you, it looks like a bit of your weight may be from being large chested (sorry for being so blunt). In that case, when you are older - you can check into breast reduction surgery. Of course the picture is taken from a top angle - so it may not be that way at all, just the way it looks - in that case; my humblest apologies.

In the past few months, I've refused to get on the scales. I don't understand. If you have extra weight, are you somehow hiding it and the only way to tell is to read a number off a scale?! And, who is paying whom? You are paying the doctor's office for services and advice. They aren't the employer; you are. After the third or fourth time of my refusing, the doctor finally started to get miffed. He pointed to the BP cuff and the scales and said, "These are the only things that don't lie to me!" This doesn't make sense. Did you say that you weigh 125 when you don't? If not, then you aren't lying at all. Lying is different from not giving information or an exact number. You sound like a strong, smart lady! Don't let the doctor's office bully you.

then he said 'you were massive. That's still somewhat of an insult. Also, a friend of mine was quite large, lost lots of weight, and received many "compliments" (did anyone ask their opinions?), then she got pregnant and gained even more weight. The kind of "massive" comments stayed with her.

My own Dad (who weighs over 350 at 5'10") once told me
"You were so much prettier before you gained all of your weight"
Now that I've had my gastric bypass surgery to lose weight, all he can do is criticize what I can and cannot eat!

Oh! I meant to tell all of you - I got up the guts to try out at a modeling fashion show! (This is how my two children got their modeling contracts). The brochure said they also represented plus-size models, so I thought "What the heck?" They said I had "classic style", "Beautiful eyes", and was a "Diva" on the runway, LOL! I made it through to the next round of the competition! I NEVER thought I was pretty/good enough for anything like this before. But I just wanted to see what would happen.

Just when I was about to cry reading all those hurtful comments, familychoice comes along and makes me laugh (as usual).
Seriously though, these are the types of comments that blow me away - how terrible some people are (or act - I still haven't decided whether there are "bad" people or just people who behave that way. At some point, though, the line is blurred enough that it just doesn't matter.)
Im not very large, but I do not have a small bone structure, and these folks have made similarly hurtful comments to me throughout my life. It's interesting, because there are certain little comments that you don't forget, even like 20 years later.
For example some boys in high school were discussing which girls had "good bodies," and their statement about me was: "She'd have a good body but her a** is too wide."
Too wide for WHAT?? I still don't know! But I still hear that statement sometimes when I'm trying on new clothes and looking in the mirror.
Another time, my "best friend" in high school and I were talking about how we wanted to lose 5 or 10 pounds. She said, "Well I'm the one who really has no excuse not to lose the weight, because I have good bone structure and would look really good."
These folks CANNOT be satisfied. No matter what, they will make hurtful comments to other people. I love the idea of sending the comments up in a balloon. I think that's very powerful.
I took an acting class once where the teacher told everyone to write down some of their problems on a piece of paper, then crumple the paper up into a ball and give it to him.
He stood on the stage and dropped all the crumpled papers onto the stage floor and started kicking them around. He finally kicked them off the stage and said, "There. That's what you have to learn to do when you come onto the stage." And I believe that's true for daily life - crumple up these comments and throw them away (or send them off in a balloon).
