Well lately I would have to agree but only with certain heels, HHH got cheered against Cena but Cena never really had the popularity that say Batista carried as Champ and face.

Ok, But the storylines go so fast now. Batista is a good face, but the title changes hands so fast you can't build on it.

Batista could go heel tomorrow. They all could.

I agree yes Batista could go Heel but he can play a decent heel as we have seen from his time in Evolution where he must have learnt a lot from the likes of HHH and Flair.
However it seems that he has much more popularity as a face than Cena does. I actually think it's time cena lost the title to HHH or Edge.
As for stories going real quick yes HHH had a good thing going with The Big Show but they seemed to kill that to quick. I'd like to see The Big Show get a better push, apart from when they pushed him and Kane to take the tag titles he seemed to be on the end of a lot of beat downs from HHH and such..

When I say storylines and title holders are changing so fast, here is an example of what I mean. Ric Flair was the NWA Champion during all of my growing up period, it seemed. No matter where I was, or what I was doing, chances were Ric had the belt. He'd lose it periodically, but he'd get it back. Heck, even Bob Backlund held the WWWF title for five straight years! Do I think in todays world that would work? NO, but they are moving it along too fast!

I'm sure I'm wrong, but has Rey ever been heel in the WWE? And if he hasn't, is he the only one who has stayed either heel or face for his entire run in the company?

Cat,

Hahaha, to the one who aced the quizzes! Rey was never a HUGE main eventer, most of the time he was a mid carder for a long long time. He was a face, but only because he was never pushed all that much until late. So, to quote Patty, who used this on me, BOOYA! <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue2.gif" alt="" />

LOL, defensive much?!! I wasn't actually challenging you, or anyone...I'm gonna hide now...

But first, you can throw another BOOYA in there if you can answer the bit about Rey being the only one who hasn't turned throughout their tenure? (excluding people who were only there for a little time that I probably didn't know, wouldn't care about!)

Cat,

BOOYA BABIE! There are too many to mention. For instance, Gangrel, heel. Mean Street Posse, heels, Any one of the Druids, more obscure, and wouldn't call them regulars because a lot were Indie guys brought in for only one or two shows, but heels. Oh, and I don't get defensive, I get EVEN! Show me up by acing the quizzes, I'll show you, Wilma!

Oh please, none of them count! Maybe Gangrel but even he was a teewner when he was with the Hardys. You can't count the druids since they were with a face UT so how could they be heels, huh, huh, huh?

Mean Street Posse, I can't remember. I just know Terry was their manager for a while and they were friends of Shane O.

Now...I believe Funaki has been a face his whole run. Foley was never a real heel. Even as Mankind he was always cheered and always liked and never was a true heel that I can think of. Dude Love was a face, Mankind was a crazy tweener but had fan sympathy, and Cactus Jack was a face so I would venture to say Mick Foley MAY have been a face the entire time in WWE but I am sure somewhere in there he may have been a short term heel. I will have to think about it when I go to bed then wake up since it is 8 a.m. and I am still up.

Carlito has always been a heel. BOOYA!

Matt Striker has always been a heel - though short term I know.

I will go to sleep and dream up answers now, TYVM.

I am almost leaning toward Austin always being the same tweener persona. Then I remember the Pillman gun thing. But still, if you think back, Austin was never a true face or a true heel. But the fans always saw him as a face/tweener and he was not ever seen as the bad guy in feuds even the one with the Rock who was the heel in that feud.

So um....yeah. I would go out on a limb and say I don't recall Austin ever being a true heel. He did sort of "turn" during the Jake Roberts feud when 3:16 was born but that was what started his huge face run despite what he thought was a heel turn.

Zzzzzzzz now. More later.
