It has been my observation that there are no true heels or faces anymore. The "Attitude" era destroyed that concept in the mid to late 90's. Bret Hart saw the writing on the wall about that same time as it was no secret that, along with racier storylines, he was not happy with the direction WWE was taking. Heels and faces are, sadly, a relic of the past. At least at the "big leagues" level. LOL, and WWE is the only big leaguer out there! Go figure.

Well I don't see Cena as a tweener (as much as I would like to) and I don't see Rey as a tweener either. I see heels and babyfaces in WWE. The problem is they turn so much, you don't know what to think anymore.
Edge is 100% heel and good at it.
Batista is a babyface through and through.
Shades of gray for many of the workers but Vince still believes in good guy vs bad guy feuds which I agree with if done right.

Well I know Cena gets cheered in my house Patty, kids love him. Batista well the sooner he's fit and back the better for Smackdown. Funny really the way kids like or dislike characters they like Flair they like to imitate him shouting wooooo but now they have started slapping me on the chest and back and doing it before laughing and running off. Ouch that gets sore after a few times..lol. They don't like Edge's character at all, they cheered for Mick Foley at WM22 and couldn't believe he lost.. they don't like HHH but I do so they end up cheering whomever he is wrestling whilst I end up cheering on HHH... A good storyline with good guy v bad guy can get some strange reactions from people, look how much HHH was cheered at WM..

I see no true heels, save for Edge, and babyfaces, save for Batista. But that could all change tomorrow as we have seen things do in the past. ~Chris <img src="/images/graemlins/king.gif" alt="" />

Triple H is a true heel...when he is not wrestling Cena, because when he does he get's cheered like a face.

Ok. What I mean is old school to new school, if I can say that. Baron Von Raschke, heel. Wahoo McDaniel, face. There was a clear line, you was on one side or the other. Today, "it's hip to be square", sorta speaking, that is there is no Baron, there is no Wahoo. You have Triple H, and you have Cena. Both could go either way. There is no good guys, there is no bad guys, there is only shades of gray. I can't be the only one who see's this? lol Or maybe I am having a hard time articulating what I mean, it wouldn't be the first time.

Triple H. The closest he came to being a face is when he was in DX, but he wasn't technically a face.
What I was trying to say is it seems, to me, that people love to "cheer" and follow, and be on the side of heels. I don't know. You all heard it hear first. I am admitting that I am crazy. Ultimate Warrior, move over on the looney branch, make room for the Great One.
