Well, if that's the case, then why does God (if one believes in Him/Her) choose to sterilize people Him/Herself? What kills me is when people have trouble conceiving, take fertility drugs, and then thank God for the numerous "miracles" that result from said drugs. GOD HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT! If He/She had His/Her way, the person never would have had a baby at all! It's all about science. Yes, there is that evil word...SCIENCE.

These forums are being overrun by crazies. I wish they would all leave. I think we've made it clear to most of them that they're not welcome, and yet they are persistent. I no longer feel like we have any safe havens here for people to come to to ask for help, and that makes me very sad.

Karyn, I agree with you. I am a little surpirsed that this is going on and it is sad, If I were to just surf in here I wouldn't post or join I would turn tail and run. I think if we all just don't reply eventually they will leave.

Freespirit, don't pay attention to the "nutters" (love that term) Now let's talk about that unwanted child thing, I have a 10 year old you can borrow, hehehehehehehehehe (just kidding).

You know, I wonder if they'd argue the opposite as well - that women who receive fertility treatment and end up with multiple pregnancies, are also sinning against God's choice for them. And to all other types of medical intervention. Frankly it seems quite nonsensical.

best wishes <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />Jane

Sinners?

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!

I'd much rather commit the "sin" of sterilization than the heinous [censored] that some people do to their own kids...abuse, neglect, beatings, murder even. I think compared to all that, God can forgive someone for wanting to be childfree.

(Note also I said *some* people, not all...I don't want to get flamed by anyone here...)

WOW now these are some really good points here. Especially the science part, which I never even thought off. I do have 2 children but Xantres you are so right. In my humble opinion there are alot of people that just should not have kids. I don't think people who decide they don't want any just can't stand children, I think they know exactly what they want out of life period. I had a poem that someone sent in to the newspaper and it was all about not having kids. It went on and on about how the poor people without kids enjoy sleeping, going on vacations etc. etc. and it was done in a very humerous way.

Ah yes....Ms. Andrea Yates. I think her husband is partly to blame for that tragedy as well....he knew she was a "nutter" and had horrific post-partum depression after each child....but you didn't see him running to the doctor to get snipped. Nope, it's much more important to keep those babies coming.

Mother always said that even when things seem bad there's someone else who's having a worse day. Like being stung by a bee or getting a splinter or being chained to the wall in someone's sex dungeon.
