I was on Yahoo music today, trying to find some different things to play (as I went out 5,000 or so e-mails - it seemed!) and I saw where I could choose my own "radio station", so I thought I would check it out.

I noticed this one option on there that caught my attention; "Gay Mix Station".

Did I miss something, or do heterosexuals and homosexuals now listen to different music? Is our music taste now defined by our sexual preference? I guess this is something I need to know - because I listen to a lot of different things, and forbid I should be listening to the wrong music!

I think it is just signifying that the operators are glbt. Not necessarily the type of music. We had a similar discussion in one of my peer support groups about if there is a gay type of music. The conclusion.. there isn't. We all have different tastes LOL

I just thought it was funny the way they listed it.
I'm extremely eclectic when it comes to music. I may get kicked out of the classical music site for saying this, but I like techno, disco, dance, hard rock, some rap, even some country, as well as the classics and jazz and just about anything else!

I just couldn't figure out how someone could label certain music as "gay" - that was mind-blowing to me, LOL

There's nothing wrong with being gay divided (not that I am, of course, ask anyone), leave him alone. I'm a brilliant dancer and not at all camp*. I've got lots of gay friends ** and they dance just like me (though not as well, obviously). They do tend to listen to a bit more Elton John than I do, however.

* No offence
** I'm not gay

[YOU ARE HEREBY WARNED.. THIS POST IS NOT GERMAIN TO THREAD AND MAY CAUSE STRIFE/FLAME WARS.. CEASE THIS LINE OF THOUGHT!]

There is something wrong with being homosexual.
1. It is biologically abnormal. Being outside the biological norm makes it inherantly unhealthy.
2. It is a sin.

I've got lots of gay friends and they're inherently less 'abnormal' than you cowboy. They're a lot more tolerant too, in fact they'd even tolerate you.

Dave, you are once again aproaching that line of no return. Did you not read the PLEASE Read thread. I told you that you will not hijack any thread by espousing things that do not apply to THAT thread. This thread is about if there is or isn't a gay music. Not about the sin or abnormality you feel like espousing of homosexuality. This is your last warning. Any more of this and you WILL be removed and permanently banned from my forum.

I am sorry to get mean like this, but you keep forcing my hand!

A not so happy Editor named Jase
