Hi Natural Magic!
I agree that soaps made with lard are very moisturizing and last a long time if kept dry between uses. I don't sell lard soaps anymore because most of my customer base prefer veggie soaps, but I still keep a few around for personal use.
We use palm, coconut and palm kernel oils with olive and rice bran for hard bars with great conditioning lather. We also add silk fibers to some of our non-vegan formulas and that really kicks up the lather!
To make your soap last a long time keep it out of water in between showers/baths. That's the best advice I can give to get the most out of your purchase. I found a great stainless steel soap "rack" that allows the soap to fully dry pretty quickly after use. We can get a good month out of a 4 oz bar with two people using it daily this way. Of course since we make the soap we've got like 10 different bars in the bathroom at any given time. I know, we're badddd.
Oh and for extra EXTRA lather try using a shower puff (you know those puffy net balls). It will wear your soap down a little faster but if you're a bubble and suds freak it will really make a difference.
