Just finished our basement and still dreaming. I'll never get done! Next on the list is removing our ugly deck and putting in a concrete patio with a sidewalk that extends around the side and to the front of the house. This will also include removing 4 large trees, one of which is in the middle of our deck!

Next will be renovating the kitchen, then all of the remaining flooring in the house. Somewhere inbetween I would like to have all of the walls repainted.

Ya, I know. It's not even that old, but I just can't help myself. Our home is 10 years old, we're the 4th owners and we've been there 3 years! Each owner has done their little bit to mess with the house and we're putting it right again. I guess since they knew they weren't going to stay long, they did quick fix me ups to help sell the house, i.e. new cheap carpet that looks good installed, but wears out fast - opaque stain coverups on the deck without removing the old finish, etc.

It seems new flooring is a very popular home improvement project! I have laminate wood floors in my office and wood floors in my house. My bedrooms are the only rooms that are carpeted and as soon as the carpet wears out, it will be replaced with wood floors. So easy to care for and much better for the allergy prone.

Connie - Thanks for sharing the photo of your floor.

Everyone - Keep us posted on your projects and please feel free to post photos!

I would love to add a sunroom with a hot tub. It would be such a great room to use all year round for entertaining and just to relax in.

We just moved and I absolutely love my new home but I have a few things I would change. I bought it knowing over the next few years I will be making these changes.

I would pull up the rugs and put down wood floors.
A pool with a hottub that flows into it (may need the lottery for this dream )
Redo the kitchen! Its pretty and new but too white! I want oak cabinets and marble counter tops.

Well, I know i said previously i wanted another bathroom, but budget-wise that's just not feasible.

But i am SO tired of living with white (or off-white) walls! I am in the process of painting every room in my house - Lowe's is loving me right now!

We are also replacing the carpet in my daughter's room with wood-look laminate because of her asthma/allergies.

But the painting is my favorite part, because I am choosing a different color for every room! You should see the number of sample cards I have!

I'd like to redo baby's room--she inherited the room when her brother outgrew it and it's still all "boy."

I also want to pull out the carpet and put in wood floors.

Then I need to scrape/paint the outside of the house.

Wait... was this a "to-do" list or a "want to-do" list?

Here's a fun idea if you need a little help with your garden how about a desperate housewives scenario? I just got so into blind dates lately and I just wanted to share my silly/funny experience. I went to webdatedotcom and found myself a bunch of guys with a hobby for gardening, i carefully picked the sexiest of em and had him work my garden! How's having a hot studdly man do your work for you?
