I chose quite a few breeds because I love them all! I suppose my favorite would be the quarter horse though, due to breed versatility and well, I'm just biased!

Hi Christina!
I don't know much about horses. I've always wanted to learn to ride, but been to chicken to.
But the Clydesdales have just always seemed so majestic to me! It seems silly, but I love the Christmas Budweiser commercials, LOL. The first time I actually got to see one up close I just kept looking up and up and up, they are HUGE! It was at a renaissance fair, and he was just so beautiful - strong and graceful at the same time!

Hi Michelle!
Thanks for stopping by! I love Clydes too. They really are a great symbol of beauty, strength, and grace all rolled into one. It's almost hard to imagine a horse with feet the size of dinner plates!
I must confess that I keep an eye out for those commercials at Christmas myself!

I checked most of them off too cause I love them all. The only ones I didn't check were the ones that I've never heard of - but I'm sure they are beautiful too.
I've never had any horses - but I sure LOVE them.

we have an off track thoroughbred. He is sometimes a handfull to ride, but we love him and pamper him all the time. My choice for riding is the quarter horse, just because they're easier to mount for someone that's not that tall!

I am really partial to Andalusians, Arabians and Connemara ponies. But then, I'm biased.

I love the Clydes also. But, I'm a sucker for any horse, that has white spots or is white.
Although, I wouldn't dream of mounting one. I'm a Chicken Little - cluck, cluck, cluck.

I've always had a fondness for those big draft breeds like Percherons or American Cream Drafts.

Have you seen the new Gypsy King horses, Rae and Vicki?
They're beautiful; I need to post some pics here, but alas there are none in my area that I could photograph. I'll try to find an online article that has some pics.
Some fear is a good thing with horses, Vicki, and is completely natural. It's when we forget that they are 1000 pounds and up that we forget to give them the due respect they deserve.
