I had very good luck with ancestry.com. Of course, I did have the help of a friend who is a geneaology stratagist. He was able to trace my family back to Charlemagne on my maternal grandmother's side.

Phyllis,

It is great to find them, and learn of you grandparents, where they came from, and go to the place they once lived, and get to know all of the cousins, you never knew you had, even with one coming for three week visit the end of July.
Now I want more, to learn everything, on my dad's side, and hope someday for find all.

I am not Native American. I have had a lot of friends who are and have been interested in Native American culture, traditions, arts, and history all my life. My father taught me a lot about Native American culture. This is one of my greatest passions - to research and write about Native Americans and their way of life and beliefs. smile

Actually I come from a strong Irish, Dutch, French and German lineage. Charlemagne was one of my great (many times over) Grandfathers.
