This is so going on the Nov 11th program! Probably after at least one bottle of Vodka is gone! Thanks for the giggle I needed one today.

I can imagine that the haggis (notice it is not just haggis but 'the' haggis!) has a bad name, after all it is made from all the bloody meaty bits left over, mixed with some vegetables and all sorts, then boiled in the lining of a sheep's or pig's stomach!!!! Then my other delight, black pudding, again made from all sorts of por meat and fat (not smalec/lard) and put in a skin! Haven't some people some funny eating tastes!

Leslie,

That was an excellent description of The Haggis, thank you for your patience and expertise. Oh, I dont think of people as having funny eating tast. If I were to do that, then what would people say about my self! I tend to believe each person has some thing different to offer to make up a whole of our personality. We may then have the option to build upon that knowledge, or it would seem.

I enjoy a drink or two of gin or what ever. I just like the tast of alcohol, not the effects. My wife is fairly much a non drinker, she does not approve, but, she cares enough not to be critical (I think).

She (wife) is a professional dietary cook, and so, I stay out of the kitchen. When she is gone for a couple of days, then, it is a different story. I then have the apartment (flat) to my self and will cook with vinegar on various meat dishes. So you see, as you mentioned, we as people do tend to have different eating tast, but not so different after all.

Uh, Forza, I think maybe you should not quit your day job after all.

Here is a version of 'Sto lat', different from the earlier one but saying the same thing:.

Sto lat, sto lat, niech zyje zyje nam.
Sto lat, sto lat, niech zyje zyje nam.
Jeszcze raz, jeszcze raz, niech zyje, zyje nam.
Niech zyje nam!

Good luck, good cheer, may you live a hundred years.
Good luck, good cheer, may you live a hundred years.
Good luck, good cheer, may you live a hundred years.
One hundred years!

I still want to hear Forza sing it! I'm just a masochist.

Charles ps

Far be it from me to correct your English (or should I say Scottish), but for the people you say either they are Scots or Scottish - never Scotch as that is the whisky!

Leslie, It would appear you have once again saved my hide, thank you. I was doing our laundry at that time and perhaps I was thinking of scotch, not a bad thought, but diffently not appropriate.

I was trying to listion to Forza singing Sto Lat, but I have a dial up connection and it is slowwwwww.
