Thanks, Piwo, that does help! I kept trying to get the "d" sound in there, and just could not do it.
Dziekuje bardzo! Prosze bardzo, nie ma za co... it's the same 3 letter cluster "dzi" as in "Dzien dobry". As a non native speaker, the "clusters" jump up and get me all the time while reading, but I"m getting better. Now, if I just understood what it was that I read so well..

I would find it useful myself. I still cannot pronounce "Zdzislaw" (name of a cousin in Poland)- how would you write that phonetically? I don`t see a problem. Zdzislaw contains phrases which appear in English too. -Z- like normal Z -Dzi- like "gee" -Slaw- like "suave" Now combine all of them and try to pronounce together: Z-gee-suave. Gooooood! Well done! Very promising, although you need to work on your accent a little. As you can see, to speak Polish, it is enough that you are fluent in English. Easy! ha ha ha ha ha ha

Wouldn't it be great if somebody came up with a polish site similar to this one. I have my hopes in Jaga and Nancy. Jaga, You may use the image of "bon towarowy". It has been scanned by myself and the original is mine; I keep a copy at my www.photobucket.com/ hosting images account.

Easy! ha ha ha ha ha ha Easy, perhaps, if I had a fabulous teacher such as yourself, Jerzy, teaching me to pronounce every word! I have used the Rosetta Stone software (the voices are hynotic!). I also have a terrific Polish-English dictionary on CD, and it has audio files, but it is all how to pronounce the English words (in British fashion! ) Would you care to make a recording? Please speak slooooooooowly. Geen-kooo-ye.

This is so cool
How do you say "Zajac" (ancestor's family name)

Forza, you've indeed demonstrated what a POLOT is! God, how I laughed. Perhaps inthe next lesson you could include some of Russian with 'nu zajac pagadi'. Trzymaj sie bracie!

Well, I laughed too, but I am not sure for the same reasons as Adam. Is there a play on the word "zajac" here (I know it mean hare- "another word for rabbit")
I think Forza's voice sounds more confident with each recording. I think he should re-record the smalec song, with several verses, so Chris can have a rousing chorus at her party.
