I'm trying to help my fiance quit smoking for good. He's tried to quit before and even had been smoke free for a couple of months before relapsing in a big way. He knows that smoking's bad for him and he does want to quit. I just don't know how to help him in this.

Try encouraging your fiance to reduce the amount of cigarettes he smokes each day. This is a gentle, non intimidating way to begin the journey of quitting. I know a of a few people this has worked for.

Also remember that smoking is an addiction to a drug.
A doctors care is a good idea when trying to quit.

I got a prescription for Zyban from my dr. It made quitting so easy. Good luck to your fiance.
