You know, I went back and re-examined the betta I thought carried the black trait, but it was actually a deep, deep red.

I did find one! I posted about him on another thread. i am so excited! I also found a combtail girl in dark blue, so I think I will bredd them. She is ripe, so I will start on the live foods next week, and get them together. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

That sounds neat ! I really would like to try and breed my little green. I can't believe what a pretty green she is.

I am concerned or at least curious about what that fluffy thing might be on her gill. It doesn't get any worse but it also doesn't seem to be going away. Dang things are so small it's hard to get a look at anything..and they keep swimming around ..and around... :rolling: (haha, I have it bad !)

Other than that she seems pretty healthy. Her fins are all grown in now and she's fantastic ! The PetSmart I go to gets new bettas in on Thursdays, unfortunately it is very hard for me to get down there on that night. :rolleyes:
But I am thinking..that I should keep going back to the Walmart I picked up Green in...I imagine that they usually get bettas from the same breeders and if that breeder had such a pretty green girl, most likely he/she also has some nice green boys too. Worth a try.
