Woo hoo - our Aussie cricketers took the one-day series 3-0, and just won the toss on day one of the first 6-day test match.

Go Strines!

Go us! I was worried after the Ashes debacle that we'd lost our edge - but I think that loosing the Ashes was what the team needed to stop assuming they'd win, and start striving.

I, for one, hope that this series continues, with, each year, a different cricketing nation taking on "the world".

And the first test against the West Indies starts on Thursday - I can't wait. The Windies are probably my second favourite team, I just love watching them play, and to get to watch Aussie and Windies play in the same match is just brilliant.

Yup - the Gabba is being made ready even as we write. I drive past it on the way to and from work every day - and always make a note of when the matches are on so that I don't get caught in the crowds.

Naturally, one of the pastimes up here at the moment is "Windie Spotting". Elusive things, these Windies. At least until the test is over!
