Any community in general is for a group of people sharing a common interest or belief. Anyone who wouldn't fit in easily can enter, but as a guest who respects the rules and customs of the community. So I wouldn't mind parents here, unless they're here just to fuel their hatred of the childfree.

I agree with you Happy CF Guy. Besides there are some parents out there who wish they did make the same choice that we made or who support people who choose to remain CF. So what is wrong with those people coming in here?

nothing wrong with people coming in here who support the subject matter of the forum. I believe the discussion was on people who had children and who did NOT support the CF decision---do you have to be told this or are you just looking for another argument? I don't argue with people who's opinion are not worth the trouble (eg people who think it is fine for trolls to be tolerated on forums). That is not a personal attack. I own my own forum on a totally different subject and I just have to draw a line somewhere or else it would be chaos and degenerate into a Jerry Springer-type thing.

the word being used by those who are complaining is "parents" not "parents who disapprove of CF."

Good point, Kat. We're talking about disapproving parents, not parents in general. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

the 'parents' who do approve of personal freedom and choice are not the ones who are inapropriately joining in the conversations--geesh! why would anyone here complain about someone who agreed with them? I was specifically thinking of the thread about finding yourself unexpectedly pregnant--the 'parents' who answered on that thread were obviously anti-CF (and most were also anti-abortion).
So for future reference (which I did not think was necessary on a CF forum--but apparently is...) when I refer to 'parents' in a negative way it is the child-worshipping and/or condemnatory anti-CF ones who come in here to troll. I don't really have any need to speak negatively about the others....

I speak for myself here. I get irked when anyone with more than four kids thinks they can relate to being childfree, especially when they take the time to include every one of their eight kids names and ages in their signature. At least keep the number of names and ages out of the picture thats the part that bugs me the most. All I can relate it to is the family of 16+. I wouldn't relate to anything that mom had to say.

I think this place is the personal choice forum. But its linked as a No Kids forum and I do believe I fit that description.

Kidlet mama you wont get attacked or feel youre intruding at Yahoo's Moms of Large Families forum, and I am sure everyone there will relate to that incredibly rude lady while you were dining out.

Kidlet Mama,

I don't have a problem with parents posting on the board, I just think it is strange that one would do so. I graciously accept your compliment about our childfree choices. Most times when the mother of a large family finds out I am not having children, you would not believe the comments I get. The big question is with that baseball team of kids you have, how on Earth do you have time to post on the computer?? =) Take care..

Just a reminder.

The Married No Kids message board is part of the larger BellaOnline community. Anyone can post anything they want -- I try to remove truly offensive posts, advertisements for other message boards, etc.

Please remember that our most recent topics appear in the "Relationships" section of the message boards, which isn't necessarily all child free people. They find their way in here by the POST, not by the site, and may not even realize they are posting in a child free forum.

well that explains alot...maybe we should make sure we preface our posts with "CF" when all we want is a CF response...? I don't care about parents in general posting if they are respectful--but really why should ANYONE be disrespectful on ANY forum? I don't get these people who just want to fight.
oh well I never got Jerry Springer either...
