They recently showed that old Oprah episode, and its followups, on consecutive days here in Australia. I was at work but managed to sit in the lunch room and catch a fair bit of it. (Oprah is on here at 1pm, not sure of the time there in the US)
I personally enjoy watching a little bit of those shows because they reaffirm my decision. Everyone was whinging and I think Oprah was probably reflecting on what a fanstatic choice she made, hehe!
I agree that misery definitely loves company. That is my overiding thought when people try to encourage you to reproduce. Some parents choose to have children after a lot of thought and consideration, reflecting on how to raise them to be good people, but the majority DON'T THINK!
I have just heard the news that an aquaintance of mine is having a child. She works in childcare and sees herself as extra qualified to look after them, if that makes sense. But she is a mega [censored]! A real nasty piece of work, never says a kind word about anyone, only negative. So, she knows how to burp and feed...big deal...pity this poor child. And pity the world if he/she grows up to be like its mother.
