god yes! i thought i was the only one who felt that way too!it's one of the reasons why i don['t want children. i can't imagine why anyone would want to go through all that! the stretch marks alone and i've seen some bad ones are totally gross! my friend had a baby two years ago and when i saw her in the hospital the next day she looked like she got hit with a mac truck. i really like to work out and i watch my weight so i can't even imagine going through nine months of having my body look horrible and then spending god knows how long to get my body back in shape if ever!i never ever ever wanted to get pregnant in my whole entire life. i had considered adoption years back when i thought i might want a kid someday but never pregnancy. i can't believe that so many women are bent on getting pregnant. maybe they want to prove something.i don't know.i just don't get it. and the pain i mean when i work out with weights at the gym and my legs start to hurt a bit i just think man if i was in labor i couldn't imagine how much pain i would be in and then i thank god that i will never have to go through that!!

If your mother felt that way, you wouldn't be here...but that states the obvious and wasn't exactly the question.

You do gain weight with pregnancy. I gained 35 and 40 pounds with my kids... I was back to near normal weight with both of them within 3 months after delivery. I DID have to wear my husband's jeans home from the hospital, but I can't say I mind. I've got some stretch marks...they fade with age and mostly blend in now. My kids are grown now and both envy my size and condition....

So I can't say that childbirth ruins your body, physical condition, beauty or long term anything. Breast feeding and/or pregnancy did make my breasts large enough so when I lost weight after delivery they didn't have that nubile teen look...but I've never had a guy complain about how they look/felt/or tasted since. Wonder if any guys are posting on this topic. Will have to look. We women can be our own worst critics at times. Talking to some leaves you feeling you have to look like a toothpick-thin, magazine-cover model 24/7 your entire life...so I have to remember to put things into perspective sometimes.

If you don't think birth is attractive or appealing, I won't argue with you, your choices or opinions...I simply wanted to point out that it doesn't have to be all bad and that I can't complain about my own experiences in this area.

Take Care...

Is it just me or are there a lot of parents on the Married no Kids chat forum lately?? Just find it odd. Maybe it's Freudian?? Something to think about.

i totally agree with you kate.it's not that i'm against parents being on this site and offering their opinion but i thought this site was primarily for people who don't want kids. i find it odd to.i mean i don't browse parent internet sites b/c frankly i'm not interested.i wonder why parents would want to be on this forum. just curious.

Sorry, CookieMonsta...this reply wasn't directed at you or anyone in particular. Just another thing that freaks me out about pregnancy.
