indigo there are many great saints who were child free and married and not all were celibate either. And there were many others who had children and had terrible lives because of it. In fact I think the exceptions are the ones who had children successfully! So pick a saint as a patron and promote them! there are websites that give you lists and lists. I like my answer because it does not express my opinion in anyway and therefore lets me off the hook. And I have only had one person make a comment that they didn't consider their children a 'cross to bear' but a blessing--to which I replied back--that every blessing is also a cross....(just then the kid started squalling and I rested my my point.) I have seen some amazing things in the church the last few years--so if it is where your heart is called do not worry about it not being a good fit. I have had a reiki session in a chapel, walked a labyrinth in the cemetery and listened to a nun give a presentation on the Divine Feminine with 100 others in the cafeteria! When I told my priest I read tarot cards he told me he does graphology! Multi-layers are available to those who do a little work to peel back the surface.

Webblock - I'm 36, Christian CF, and most definitely a night owl! If I didn't have to get up at 5:45 every morning for work, I would be up til the wee hours as you. As it is I still often don't go to bed til 1am. I make up for it on the weekends.
I'm usually on Skype in the evenings if anyone ever wants to chat. Nick is bellringr. I have my options set that only approved people can contact me, so just note that you are from these boards if you messag me.

We're Southern Baptist - as in Georgia, Southern Baptist. But we do tend to be a little more contemporary than some.

Woot, I was quoted.
*raises hand* Total night owl. Wouldn't get up in the morning even as a newborn. This is the reason I don't go to church much (bad, bad me). I just can't get up. I always wonder, who decided church should be in the morning, as I've never seen it in the Bible? (my answer: a bunch of people who wanted it over with early so it didn't ruin the rest of their day...tsk tsk.) I'd be perfectly happy going to church in the afternoon or evening, or rather, I'd definitely prefer it. I'm too out of it in the morning anyway.

I tend to be a night owl also, but as a Catholic growing up, we went to church on Saturday evening mostly. Not sure if the other faiths do this also.

Sorry, I was thinking Southern Baptist Deacons - for us its all about the food! LOL
You know we have to have a covered dish supper AT LEAST once a month!

Katja - I feel the same way! My old church used to have Saturday night and Sunday morning services, but not our current one, and I, too, am not as faithful in attending as I should be.
Luckily the sermons are put on the website so I can go listen to them.

Presbyterians like eating too....maybe I'm just not a proper one.
My church has Wednesday night services, but they're not quite the same, you know? They're more of the contemporary/informal type thing, which I'm not especially into.
I'm gonna have to start getting up early, though...choir is starting up again come this Sunday...
