I go along with you about the dialects - there is no such thing spoken in UK as the Queen's (Q) English. I can't remember whether you've said you have been to UK, but not only are there different dialects between the countries that make up the British Isles, but each county has its own (and in many cases more than one in one county) and in some counties - for example Yorkshire, which is a large county, different towns have their own dialects within the area in which they are situated. If I spoke my native Cumbrian, I would not be understood in the south of England, and in many places that are just outside Cumbria! Thus seez lad, theers nowt see funny az fwoaks - an t'live uns are t'wust.
Even though I was brought up for 9 years in 'Cummerlan' (Cumbria) there is a book of stories in the dialect and it takes me all my time to understand it!
See yu Mericans arnt wust.
