It's like the term used for a man when he displays a modicum of sensitivity...
'He's in touch with his Feminine side' - WTF is that - ? Bulltosh....he's just being nice and appreciative - !!

UGH I hate that! I hear so much complaining about "men have been feminized in this day and age, they can't be men anymore, they have to be sensitive, blahblahwahwahwah." And I think, "WTF???? So they have to act like mature, responsible human beings who actually think about someone besides themselves and not like destructive, Neanderthal-like @ssholes??? And that's bad WHY???"

having materals instincts just means you like to care and nuture things..i think it is just mainly used to pertain to women and children but i think it can also just mean you really feel the need to take care of something, or rather nuture it, it can be an animal, another human being, ect.

A lady I knewin the uk, was asked to hold a baby, and replied -

"I'm no good at this - which way up - ?"

and recoiled in mock-horror at the same time.

her friend put the baby on it's rug, on the floor.
