I don't really care at what age my kids do things, like die their hair and pierce their ears, just as long as they are old enough to deal with it themselves. It's her ears, she'll have to take care of them. I'm not going to make a decision like this for them.
If I know my mom though she'll have done back home during a trip to the cabin and I won't know about it until she comes home.
I personally think babies who have earings look like kids dressing up.
