I think kids are ALWAYS like parasites. They just happen to fit the classical description better before they're born!

My reason is simple, there are so many other things a person can do with their lives that add value to themselves and the world than having children.

[Now imagine having to relive that whole learning process when you have to teach YOUR kid all of these same things, and you worry that something might go wrong with the kid's development.]

That's it for me CF Guy, I dont want to go through the traumas & anxieties I survived through as a kid again through my kid.

I was a very anxiety-prone, overwhelmed kid growing up. Even the 1st day of school was a big trauma, let alone my dad's alchohol abuse and all it's emotional upheaval. And my hubby was abused physically.

So how insane would it be to bring a kid up & have all 3 of us be miserable together? Let the dysfunction begin!

I have not really made my decision if I want Kids or not. I am here to get a view on the No kids world, I also visit family forums to get the view on a family world. But One reason to not have kids.

You can go whenever you want. Just live and be selfish because with kids they must come first.

But I have been coming up with more Pro's then con's myself. But I had a good childhood and many people around me actually seem to have Happy familys. So I can see why a bad childhood or bad experiences with other familys could lead to not wanting kids.
