My husband died of CF on June 18, 2005, 3 days before his 40th birthday. His sister died at age 18 from CF. He wrote this wonderful story about their lives:

Thank you for sharing your story, and your husbands story. One of my daughter's elementary school classmates had CF and I learned so much from her mother, not just about the condition, but about how a richness of experience adds so much to everyone's quality of life.

Please accept my sympathies on the passing of your husband.

Thank you. He was a wonderful human being. I've learned a lot in the past two weeks from his parents about how these disabilities impact the entire family.

I have lots of projects planned to honor Joe's memory, but most of all my goal is to raise awareness about CF and families with special needs in general.
