yeah well I never bribed really, if you've got a tactic n good party you can kill Shinryu for wings to discovery faster than gettin money together n bribing

I agree with Gerb. One Attack Reel and Blitz Ace will take Shinryu out the waters and into the farplane.
MUCH faster than stocking money up.
Bribe the brown things on four legs in the omega ruins (or just capture one and fight it in the monster arena), and bribe it for 360,000 to get 40-80 chocobo wings, which give you auto-haste.
I think they are called Epaaj? it's immune to senses, so you need to use demi to calculate it's max HP (multiple damage by 4)

Since all guides quote Bribe amounts as 20 times the monster's maximum HP, you can deduce that Machea's maximum HP is 18,000. (As far as I know, this works for every Bribable enemy except for International/PAL version Ultima Weapon.)

Endarrien is on the money. Epaaj is just a weaker version of the Machea. It's like Ultima Sphere is a stronger version of Spherimorph, Don Tonberry to regular Tonberry, etc.
