I have noticed that once you go off the low carb plan the weight comes RUSHING back on. I don't weigh myself, i just look in the mirror and notice how my clothes fit. This year has been extremely chaotic and so i have been off the low-carb. I imagine that I am in the high 130s. I need to be in the low 120s at my height (5'4). So once I have an income again I will return to buying fresh meats and veggies. For now I am living on Top Ramen and whatever I can find at the dollar store.

Of course, if I get picked up by the Red Cross to go to NO with a Disaster Team, I will just eat whatever they feed me.

Yeah, it's been tough getting enough calories, but I've been doing okay for the most part. I can definitely tell when I'm not eating enough calories (feel very worn out, get dizzy easily). I used to eat a low fat diet, so I've been eating more fats, which is helping to up my calorie intake.

My job is a cleaner, cleaning apartments, so I'm very active during the day. I also used to work out 3 times a week at the gym (cardio and weight lifting), but I haven't been since I started eating low carb. I've been going for short walks (about 1/2 a mile) a few times a week now. Once my body gets a little more used to the low carb eating (I still don't feel all that energetic), I'm going to up my exercising.

Hi Nyxha. I used to do professional house cleaning and it truly is a workout! Especially vacuuming - it's like weightlifting AND aerobics.

I found a whole lot of Atkins products at the Dollar Store (I guess because of the bankruptcy) so I am back on low carb. Any extra money I spend on fresh veggies. Still can't afford meat and I CRAVE it. Seriously.

I am also walking every day for at least 20 minutes. Eventually I will work back into running but the walking is nice too.

Well here's the thing. If your normal diet is junk, then any time you're on that diet, you're going to gain weight. It's not really about being on or off low carb It's about eating healthily or not. If you went "off low carb" but still ate healthily, you wouldn't gain weight. So it's more that you're saying

When I start eating junk food, I gain weight

Which of course is true!

The key is you always have to eat healthily - it's your own body and life that is affected. I'll write more articles on how to do that on a budget

well I wanna reach 63-65kg if possible

I have changed my eating habits since last July by starting on Atkins & then slowly 'abadon' the program to do it my own way as I know the basics of how it works & it just clicks for me now

Currently I think I'm 76kg??I'm not really sure as I threw away the weighing scale in my house lol to prevent myself from being obsessed with the scale.

I think if I reach 63-65kg , it's perfect for my height of 1.75m

Yeah I know I'm really tall for a 'going to be 19' girl soon but I know that I would hopefully reach there eventually without obsessing over my measurements & the darn 'ol scale

My weight goal is 150, right now I am (*puts head down*) 220. My eating habits are out of control right now. I eat fast food just about every day and I drink Coke obessessively. I've decided that I am going to make a major life change. Today starts my new journey.. I'm heading to the grocery store first thing this morning with my low carb list. I feel like I'm a very long way from losing 70 pounds. Wish me luck!

don't worry so much on losing so much weight Amanda

what matters's that you enjoy the low carb journey & that you will reach your goal weight in time to come.

'take your weight loss program 1 day/step at a time ' , it's a cliche phase but it works .
