Does anyone have information on the significance of the number 11. I know that it is one of the more cardinal of the numbers and it keeps popping up lately. I think it may havev to do with new beginnings and rebirth but im not 100% sure on that. Thank you in advance for any info =]

11's and 44 kept popping up in my life for years. It was very noticeable. In Doreen Virtue's book, "Healing With The Angels", she talks about these numbers and they are signs from the angels. From personal experience I will say take heed, it means something. Was anyone born in November, or on the 11th of a month? I will try to find my book so I can get back with something more specific. Apparently a lot of people see 11's and 44's, I was just reading about this the other day, and I will try to remember where, it may have been on Bellaonline.

Oddly enough the number 11:11 has just been featured in an article in Kindred Spirit, which is a big New Age magazine in the UK.

It was an interesting read & put forwards several theories, including the angelic communication one. Doreen Virtue sees it as a gate of opportunity in 'Healing with the Angels'& asks you watch your thoughts as you will manifest them.

The article termed the number a 'spiritual wake-up call' and mentioned that after getting your attention with 11:11 all sorts of other number sequences would start to emerge. This has certainly been the case for me & I regularly get number sequences cropping up on the computer clock and elsewhere.

It is also suggested that the end of the Mayan calendar is connected to the 11:11 phenomena. Apparently the end date is 21st December 2012, which added up using numerology = 11. Also according to the article the winter solstice on that date will take place 11:11. The good news is that most feel now that rather than 'the end is nigh' scenario, this date marks a shift in the Earth's evolution and will usher in a higher way of being.

Intriguingly the article claimed that 11:11 is catching & if you mention it to people they might also start seeing it all over- so if you've been browsing the forum & the numbers start to pop up do let us know <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I started noticing over ten years ago I was seeing an awful lot of 1 and 4 combinations. Not just 11 and 44, but combo's of those numbers. 4:11, 11:44, 11:11, whatever, it was always these two numbers. A LOT. So that has happened for a long time, and now the numbers have switched to one number: 12. My house alarm, only when my husband was gone and I was home alone, would go off at different times, but the numbers always add up to 12. 2:37 a.m., 4:53 a.m., always in the middle of the night and it freaked me out. This is a newly built house and I started locking myself, my cats and birds in the back bedroom when I went to bed because the alarm in the middle of the night scared me. The problem ended up being a low battery connected to a window but that did not explain why the time always added up to 12. This finally happened one time when my husband was here, and he noted the time as well. I do not know anything about numerology or astrology, and Doreen's comments about it being the angels comforts me. <img src="/images/graemlins/rolling.gif" alt="" />

It's a pity the angels didn't find a slightly less alarming (sorry for the pun- couldn't resist <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />) way to communcate with you.

Maybe it was too important for you to miss. <img src="/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" /> We use the phrase 'it set the alarm bells ringing' in speech in this way. Glad it's quieter for you now though!

Ive always had 11's or multiples there of (specifically 22)...a bracelet my mother gave me had 11 wired beads on it, I see '11:11' alot, I asked for two bunches of peonies yesterday and got 11 flowers; etc etc.
The funny thing is, 11 will show up alot if Im looking for a different number; especially 13.

Actually, the angels were the 1's and the 4's. The 12's, that is my daughter. <img src="/images/graemlins/heart.gif" alt="" /> We frequently hear from her. She was born on 12/12 and died on her 24th bday, 12/12. It is nice to know she is still with us, even if we cannot see her. <img src="/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" /> She was letting me know I was not in this house alone. And that was an excellent pun!

Yes Wendy, I think 11 does have a certain way of making you notice it. I'm with Doreen Virtue on this one & think it is pointing to a gateway of opportunity. Next time you get a bunch of 11s all together take a moment to reflect on the new possibilities available to you.

Firefly it is so sad about your daughter, but so lovely that she can still show you she's there. <img src="/images/graemlins/lovers.gif" alt="" /> There is no doubt that 12 is her number. It does sound that her passing was of great significance & part of a higher plan. It is so hard to accept that from where we are, but it sounds like you have been very strong.

Her birthday is also the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The day is just not long enough for all the celebrating we do. We start the morning at Mass. Then we head to the cemetery and decorate with birthday stuff. We then release a balloon at the time of her birth (11:01), then head to the restaurant I took her to that last day, for lunch. Then we head home and start getting ready for the BIRTHDAY PARTY. All the females wear fairy shirts (she loved fairies), and a wonderful time is had by all. I let the children wear their fairy shirt home, and after the new year start the hunt for new fairy shirts.
