I've brought up the issue of a vasectomy to my husband and he cringes at the idea. I explained to him that "they dont cut off your balls" like he origionally thought, and talked to him about what's done and how much more safe it is for a man to have a vasectomy than for a woman to have her tubes tied. Plus, apperantly I cannot get my tubes tied due to my young age=-(
I was wondering if anyone had some idea's or thoughts (especially men) on vasectomies, and maybe give me some idea's to try and persued my husband to go through with it.

I don't know why so many men are afraid of this simple and relatively painless procedure. My man got a vasectomy in October and he hasn't had any "wierd" side effects from it and he is not less of a man. He got it done 1) because it is safer and easier for him to do than me 2) no doctor was willing to do a tubal ligation on me and 3) he takes just as much responsibily for birth control as I do. Your man seems to be rather selfish to expect you to go through the procedure while he refuses to since is so much easier and safer for a man to be sterilized. I am left wondering how much he REALLY cares for you and your health.

Oh please dont get me wrong, he loves me with all his heart, and he cares about me more than you can imagine, he's just, well, afraid of someone touching him down there. I've only just recently brought this subject up, and probably should show him some stuff online to show him it doesnt effect him in any way, thats why I was asking for things to say/show him to help him understand what goes on.
